Koch Safari League Preview Watch Guide for Tonight

Each new season brings such hope. This could be the year your crush finally texts you back, or even asks you to the Sadie Hawkins dance. Yes, I am speaking directly to you now, things are looking up for you. You are a skilled metal worker! Except there is only one issue. Deep down, you know that you’ve always been helpless with an angle grinder, and that girl is only interested in AI researchers, or humanoid dong bots. No amount of self affirmation can change the fact, that for most of you reading this blog - your season is already slipping through your fingers. Yes, it’s entirely possible that you could gobble up the special few players sitting on the waiver wire RIGHT NOW that would ensure a league championship… but you are going to go for Devaughn Vele instead - who unfortunately will not catch another TD until week 11, when you will then bid for him again, just in time for him to break his foot the following week (scooter accident - not game action related). Welcome to the 2026 season - it’s the Monday Night Football Preview.

Matchups

99% - 62.40 points: one sec I’m COOKing (0-0) vs RosterMogged (0-0)

Kyle made a splash earlier this week, by receiving the league’s worst draft grade from the stable geniouses at Yahoo sports. He promptly followed that up by making a few crude and totally distasteful comments about the Wolverines’ deserved and normal week one victory, before eventually delivering a whopping total of 60 pts heading into monday night. He is either colluding with Scott, or has become the clavicular of farmington hills, too busy bone smashing in heritage park to produce a respectable lineup. Either way, Scott did not let his younger brother’s crisis of self go to waste, as he trotted out a whole gold coast cocktail bar on his ass (lots of low to mid twenty somethings). RosterMogged will need Kenneth Walker and Rashee Rice to outscore the Denver D by 83 to save face in his league debut - and avoid receiving his first BIGGEST BLOWOUT OF THE WEEK sponsored by the waders company that the Craisins® guy uses. Also Kyle’s PITTS SCORED ZERO POINTS 🍺🔫

99% - 45.32 points: BDSM AI Stealth Founder (0-0) vs Zen Buddha Boys 🪷💨 (0-0)

Last year - NOBODY would have thought Skylar would be heading into MNF, only projected to lose by 45. But, things are different this year. Normal losses are turning to quality losses™ and we are having to wait until the Sunday evening window to know for certain that he will be suffering a biggest blowout rename. He’s not just not getting better, he’s reinventing what it means to lose - and honestly… that’s iconic 🤖. Meanwhile, flying under the radar - flush with dirty funding from the UAE, is BDSM AI Stealth Founder - aka the leather daddy of east kentwood. Hy led a forbidden occult maypole ritual to land this week’s RB1, WR2 (Coker), and TE1 and therefore should be regressing to the mean in weeks to come, especially with Drake “throw to the other team, I” Maye as his team’s headmaster. Also Sky’s defense scored NEGATIVE .25 PTS 🍺🔫

99% - 32.99 points: Rub a dub lost the Chubb (0-0) vs 🥝🥝🥝 lol i luv kiwi 🥝 🥝🥝 (0-0)

What comes to mind when you think of Courtland Sutton? If you are like me, not a single thing at all. It sounds somewhat like the Condé Nast recommended courtyard by marriott of grand rapids airport? Also makes me think of Sutton(s) Bay - the place where you can drink beers in instagram igloos. Matt #2 is hoping this guy in the elevator with Don Draper teams up with Wil “oops lost an L there” Lutz to do the unthinkable tonight. A mere 52 pts - and Matt #2 could usurp his namesake Matt #1, pulling off what would go down as the greatest act of human resilience since David Blaine encased himself in ice for 63 hours back in 2000.

✅ 100% - 17.19 points: Tuten Brown (0-0) vs MELONHEADS (daniel) (0-0)

Unfortunately for MELONHEADS, it was the chaotic bad George Pickens that showed up when Dan needed him the most, on Sunday evening. Adding insult to injury was the start of the ZERO POINT SCORING 🍺🔫 titan defense. Bolstered by starting the QB that was playing against the Browns, Keith cruised to a comfy victory despite losing his WR1 AJ Brown to the IR along the way. The Tuten Era appears to be here - and Dan’s reputation as a perennial underperformer relative to projections appears to be firmly intact.

89% - 14.82 points: Robotripping Gardener (0-0) vs James Ray Ervin Yonts (0-0)

In the only real action still to occur tonight, Patrick leads Jam by 4.5 heading into MNF needing Mahomes to hold that lead over Travis “you’re the only kel I” Ce. On Dec 16, 2021 - Kelce outscored Mahomes 36.1 to 29.6 in .5 ppr after catching 2 TD passes - so this could theoretically happen. The much more likely scenario however, would be that Tonya Harding’s ex or one of Jam’s similarly goonish henchmen take a crowbar to Patrick’s already feeble kneecap and explode Robo’s chances to start this year’s championship campaign on a good note. As this one gets more and more out of reach, look for more and more conspiracies to develop around James’s decision to bench his 22.5 pt scoring TE1 in week 1.

✅ 100% - 0.05 points: Silly Shrek Squad (0-0) vs Nabers? I hardly know hers (0-0)

In an opening week otherwise defined by unusually high scoring, these two managers took it upon themselves to drop twin deuces on each other’s lawns. At one point, Nick was in danger of breaking 100, so he hastily installed the Houston D to go for -5.25 🍺🔫 to keep him below the satanic threshold. In the end though, it was Alex who emerged victorious, escaping with a narrow .45 pt victory after sunday night - and falling asleep happy, with aspirations of a potential repeat fantasy ship + undefeated seasons for both UMich and Detroit. BUT WHAT’S THIS NOW? As Alex’s default android alarm clock rang in the early hours of the morning (sounds like this), his nightmares were made reality. A .5 pt score revision - Yahoo didn’t even have the huevos rancheros to call it an official stat correction - and that was enough to tip the scales of victory in favor of our gluttonous grecian god king commissioner, Silly Shrek Squad. Sick the way this divine punishment was handed down, all because Alex drafted Marvin Harrison Jr.
